Overseeing entertainment production experiences for Cosm, Andrew Merkin directs and produces stories and events for traditional and digital media and manages production for comprehensive pipelines: IP development and pre-production, experience design, design production, post-production, and programming.
He is an Adjunct Professor and speaker on transmedia strategy and production across the world including USC, UCLA, Art Center, Harvard Business School, and professional conferences such as the Toronto International Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Festival, and Sundance Film Festival. He has served as a film expert with the Department of State traveling to Pakistan and Argentina. His award-winning projects include the PGA Innovation Award, Lumiere Award, Cannes Lions, SXSW Interactive Awards, D&AD Gold Pencils, and the 2006 Time Person of the Year.
Andrew holds an MS from MIT in transmedia production management, an MBA from HEC-Paris in creative management, and an AB with Honors from Rollins College in anthropology/ international business. A true believer that interesting storytellers (hopefully) have led interesting lives, Andrew's previous work experience includes development and production for Sony Pictures Television, training teachers and entrepreneurs in the Peace Corps in Bangladesh, performing improv, and educating students in zoo keeping for Busch Gardens.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration for each mentoring roundtable session will be by lottery for 20 PGA members. Only those confirmed to attend will receive the Zoom details. Members are not eligible for two consecutive sessions, and you are not confirmed to attend simply by registering.
